Archipelago Architects

Archipelago is a new architecture and urban design practice founded by leading Brisbane based urban design figure Peter Edwards and architect Brendan Pointon.

The experience of Archipelago’s directors spans from large international to small boutique design practices, meaning that we can offer the intelligence and breadth of multi-disciplinary corporate practices with the immediacy and flexibility of an intimate design studio. This affords us significant depth in the size and scope of projects that we can undertake, but also gives our clients comfort that the directors are personally involved and committed to their project for the duration, with a full understanding of both the broader objectives and the detail of the day to day.

We place great value on having access to a range of project types across a variety of scales and project budgets. Large urban design projects inform small projects and small projects in turn inform large. Having access to a disparate range of projects keeps us fresh, motivated and creatively engaged and increases the opportunity for cross fertilisation between projects leading to value added and innovative outcomes.

In the event that additional specific expertise or resources are required to service a particular project, Archipelago has developed collaborative arrangements with other architectural practices.
